3-hour curfew remains in VI until Jan 28, 2021

The Virgin Islands will remain under a 3-hour curfew until January 28, 2021, according to a new Curfew Order signed by Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert on January 13, 2021 and gazetted today, January 14, 2021.

The Imposition of a Curfew Order, 2021 shall come into force on January 14, 2021 at 5:00 am.

According to the Order, the curfew is for the purposes of controlling, suppressing or preventing the spread of COVID-19 and for the protection of all persons within the Territory.

The Order is valid until Thursday, January 28, 2021, between the hours of 2:01 am to 4:59 am daily.

The Virgin Islands currently has 19 active cases of COVID-19, according to the latest update by Government on January 11, 2021.
