52-yr-old Vincy man charged for rape of a minor

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has charged a 52-year-old native of St Vincent for raping a minor.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a closed court sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, The RVIPF said in a press release on December 16, 2020.

The Vincy man was charged yesterday, December 15, 2020.

'Exercise sensitivity'- RVIPF to public


Head of the Family and Juvenile Unit Detective Inspector John Antoine is asking the public not to generate any undue exposure to the family whether via social media or commentary in public, and to exercise sensitivity particularly since victim of this tragic incident is unaged.

“The circumstance surrounding this incident is so sensitive that the name of perpetrator and all parties involved in this incident are being withheld. We are asking that the individual names and circumstances surrounding of this incident be kept out of the public arena,” the Inspector noted.
