6 active COVID cases in VI; No local cases

After seeing only 1 recorded positive case of COVID-19 on May 26, 2021, the Virgin Islands is now reporting 6 positive cases as of May 31, 2021.

According to the Territory’s Epidemiological Summary, all six of the active cases, all asymptomatic, are on Tortola.

2 of the cases were detected on Entry Screening Day Zero, 1 on Day 4 and 2 on day 7. The other case was detected on travel screening.

Notably, there are no local cases recorded.

Meanwhile, 17, 866 AstraZeneca jabs have been administered in the Territory, up from 17, 054 at the May 26, 2021, update.

According to the Territory’s Epidemiological Summary, all six of the active cases, all asymptomatic, are on Tortola.
