60-yr-old man & 34 yr-old woman charged in Yan Edwards murder probe

Two persons are now charged in connection with offenses stemming from the murder of Yan Edwards, as a result of ongoing investigations into his shooting death on February 6 of this year.
Rowan Arlington Pickering, 60, and Miriam Kimberley May, 34, both of Long Look were each charged with one count of perverting the course of justice. May was charged additionally with giving false information to the police.

According to a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) both May and Pickering were granted bail in the sum of $5,000, to appear before the Magistrate's Court on April 20, 2023.

Edwards was shot while @ a bar

Initial investigations into the murder of Edwards, 42, of Long Look indicate that he was seated outside a bar in Parham Town around 6:00 PM on February 6, 2023, when shots were fired. Edwards was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.

Officers of the Major Investigation Team continue to appeal for witnesses who could help to identify the assailant or assailants in Edwards’ murder.
