7 new COVID-19 cases in VI as recoveries rise

The Virgin Islands (VI) now has 17 active cases of COVID-19, with seven of those cases new since the last update of January 20, 2021.
This is according to the latest epidemiological report released on Friday, January 22, 2021, with the data showing 12 active cases are on Tortola, 4 on Virgin Gorda and 1 one a vessel.

Meanwhile, recoveries are on the rise with 10 persons having recovered out of the last batch of 20 confirmed infections.

To date, 18,260 samples have been taken from 18,245 persons tested at the Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

All active cases and their close contacts are quarantine, the VI Government assured.
