A year later, no one charged for murdering Le’ Shaughn A. Smith

Today, February 24, 2023, marks the first anniversary of the murder of Le’ Shaughn A. Smith who was killed in a drive-by shooting in the vicinity of The Boys Service Station in Huntums Ghut, Tortola.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is now making yet another appeal for persons to help in identifying his assailant or assailants.

“To date, there has been no one charged in this murder and therefore the perpetrator(s) are still at-large,” the RVIPF stated in a press release.

Police said initial investigations suggest that Le’Shaughn was outside his business place, Big Ballers Jeep and Car Rental, in Huntums Ghut around 10:00pm when gunshots were fired. He received a fatal wound.

Police also said a masked male as well as several other persons were seen in the area at the time of the shooting.

According to the press release, Police are appealing to anyone who may have information, no matter how insignificant, which can assist in the apprehension and conviction of those responsible.
