Active COVID-19 cases in VI rise to 38

After just 10 recorded active cases of COVID-19 on March 11, 2022, active cases have now risen to 38 in the [British] Virgin Islands.

According to the Territory’s Epidemiological Summary, the latest figures are the result of testing done on March 15 and reported on March 16, 2022.

34 of the active cases are on Tortola and 4 are on Virgin Gorda. There were no active cases recorded on Anegada and Jost van Dyke.

14 of the actives are local cases and 12 are contacts of cases.

Notably, there are no hospitalisations as a result of COVID-19.
