Active manhunt still underway for prison escapee

An active manhunt is still underway for 40-year-old Germaine Sebastian, the inmate who escaped Her Majesty’s Prison on Saturday, October 30.
An identification profile released by the police describes Sebastian as a medium built man who is five feet nine inches tall.

He is of dark complexion and weighs about 170 to 180 pounds.

Sebastian, who has been serving a life sentence for manslaughter since 2006, is from Fat Hogs Bay in East End. It is not clear how he escaped the Balsam Ghut-based prison.

“Persons with information about his whereabouts are asked to call the RVIPF at 311 or any Police Station. Persons can also call the Force Intelligence Unit at 368-9339,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, said in a media release this afternoon.
