American Airlines Launches Inaugural Flight to British Virgin Islands

American Airlines made its inaugural flight from Miami to the British Virgin Islands (BVI) on Thursday, June 1st, 2023.
The flight was met with fanfare at the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island, with a large gathering of locals and vendors present to welcome the passengers on board.

The arrival was decorated with stilt walkers, a band, students, police presence, a motorcade on the airport runway, and representatives of the BVI Tourist Board.

There were also local residents in BVI cultural wear and a showcase of authentic local cuisine and items.

Initially, American Airlines was only scheduled to do one flight to the BVI on June 1st, but due to high demand, two inaugural flights were added to the schedule.

Two flights are also scheduled for June 3rd, 9th, 16th, and 30th.
