The posthumous memoir of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, titled 'Patriot: A Memoir', was released globally on Tuesday.

Known for his opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Navalny started crafting his story after surviving a poisoning attempt in 2020.

The memoir details his youth, activism against Putin's regime, and his personal life.

Navalny continued working on the manuscript until his passing at the age of 47, following his detention in a Russian penal colony on extremism charges.

The memoir includes his foresight of dying in captivity, his critiques of Russia’s corruption, and his love for his wife, Yulia Navalnaya.

His death in February drew global condemnation, many attributing it to Putin.

Published excerpts reveal Navalny’s humor and resilience amidst adversity, emphasizing his belief in standing up for personal convictions.
