‘All In’ blazes to victory twice in powerboat races @ West End

COVID-19 has been stopping many traditional events this emancipation season; however, there was nothing stopping exciting power boat racing at Romney Park, West End, on Sunday, August 2, 2020.

The well supported event, organised by the Boat Drama Racing Club, provided a perfect occasion for persons and their families to enjoy the races in a suitable social distancing setting.

On the waters, ‘All In’, a 22FT Apache captained by Jacen Winter, registered the win in the opening event, the Chaim Todman ‘Choke Off’ Classic for boats 20-22ft with 245-260 HP engines.

‘All In’ would return to prevail also in Race 6, a 20-22 FT Shootout.

Other results

Meanwhile, Race two belonged to ‘C-16’, a 21ft Progression. That race was for boats 20-22ft with 280-300 HP engines.

Race 3 and 4 were cancelled; however, Race 5 came off and it belonged to 30ft HellKat, ‘Game Changer’, skippered by Jareem Todman.

Race 7, the final race of the day, was a 30ft Shoot Out. ‘Steady Wuk, a 30ft Spectre skippered by ‘JJ’, emerged victorious.

According to the organisors, they are pleased with the support from both boaters and spectators alike.

Quote of the Day

The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.
