Amazon is facing lawsuits in the United Kingdom worth up to £4.2 billion from a coalition of retailers and consumers accusing the company of anti-competitive practices.

The claims allege that Amazon unfairly promoted its own products over those of third-party sellers and manipulated marketplace rankings, a charge the company strongly denies.

The case could mark one of the largest antitrust actions in UK history.
