All students and staff of Frangipani Academy (Simmond’s Preschool) have been ordered to quarantine as another student has tested positive for COVID-19.
Just last week, the Ministry of Health ordered Simmonds Preschool closed for 14 days following the detection of suspected and confirmed
COVID-19 cases in the educational facility’s paediatric population.
In a statement dated July 3, the Health Ministry said the latest
COVID case coming out of the preschool tested positive on Thursday, July 1.
“All students and staff in the school will be placed on Quarantine Order and be required to undergo the
COVID-19 PCR swab test at the end of their quarantine period. Parents will be contacted by Public Health for more detailed guidance,” the statement said.
“The Ministry of Health and Social Development thanks the parents and the community for their cooperation and understanding as we work together to reduce the transmission of
COVID-19 in the territory.”
