Apple Set to Unveil Mixed Reality Headset at WWDC, Targeting Professionals and Developers

Apple is expected to announce a mixed reality headset at its annual WWDC event, which focuses on software reveals for iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
This would be the company's first entirely new product since the Apple Watch debuted in 2015.

The headset will reportedly cost around $3,000 and be targeted towards professionals and developers.

It is expected to offer features such as 4K resolution, full body motion tracking, half a dozen cameras for views of the outside world, and a powerful M2 chip.

It will also have its own operating system and a separate app store.

Apple will release a new headset, called Reality Pro, in late 2023 or early 2024.

The headset is reported to have a high-resolution display and be able to overlay digital objects onto real-world environments.

Other expected features of the headset include voice control and integration with other Apple products.

At WWDC 2023, Apple will also announce updates to their iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch operating systems.

The new iPhone operating system, iOS 17, will include an accessibility feature that allows users to create an artificial voice that sounds like them.

Additionally, there will be a new software feature that allows the iPhone to be used in landscape mode when it is charging, which will turn it into a smart display.

The Mac and Apple Watch will also receive updates at the event.

The WWDC 2023 will start at 6pm UK time on Monday.
