Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that two men, one armed with a gun, entered the Island Sizzle, Restaurant, Bar and Nightclub, while there were a number of patrons present.

Bartenders and patrons were held at gunpoint and relieved of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sources said that while one of the men held one of the bartenders at gunpoint, the other went behind the counter and took away the cash register drawer.

It was on January 28, 2021, that two gunmen pounced on De La Santa’s Bakery and Restaurant in Sea Cows Bay, Tortola, robbing the establishment of an undisclosed amount of money and also relieved patrons of cash and jewellery.

Patrons scrambled for safety

While some of the patrons managed to make a mad dash to safety, at least two remained and were relieved of cash and jewellery.

Police are said to be reviewing CCTV footage to assist their investigations.
