Baughers Bay man charged for marijuana cultivation

Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) on April 20, 2021, arrested and charged Joshua Jeremiah, 26, of Baughers Bay for Cultivation of Cannabis and Handling Stolen Goods.

He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 with one signed surety to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on June 3, 2021, at 09:00hrs.

Common assault


On 19-4-2021 at 18:40hrs, Police arrested and charged Sylvester Sam, 45, of Gun Creek North Sound for Common Assault and Criminal Damage. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 27-05-2021.

Cultivation of cannabis


On 20-04-2021 at 06:01hrs, Police arrested and charged Joshua Jeremiah, 26, of Baughers Bay for Cultivation of Cannabis and Handling Stolen Goods. He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 with one signed surety to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 03-06-2021 at 09:00hrs.

Unlawful possession of a controlled drug


*  On 20-04-2021 at 09:40hrs, Police arrested and charged Niko Scatliffe for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug.
*  On 28-04-2021 at 00:05hrs, Police arrested and charged Kishorn Baptiste, 18, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 09-06-2021.

Driving without driver's licence


*  On 20-04-2021 at 10:30hrs, Police arrested and charged Warren McSweeny Allen, 55, a native of Jamaica, residing in Belle Vue for Driving without a Driver’s Licence, Driving Uninsured Vehicle, Driving Unlicensed Vehicle and Used Vehicle without Owner's Consent. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on 03-06-2021.
*  On 27-04-2021 at 11:36hrs, Police arrested and charged Nikolai Brathwaite of West End for Driving without a Driver's License and Driving without a Policy of Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 23-06-2021.

3. On 30-04-2021 at 15:34hrs, Police arrested and charged a 15-year-old male of Sea Cows Bay for Driving without Driver's Licence, Using Licence Plate on vehicle to which it was not assigned, Driving without Cash Helmet, Driving without Front Identification Plate, Driving Uninsured and Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,500 with one signed surety to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 10-06-2021 at 0900hrs.

*  On 29-04-2021 at 10:25hrs, Police arrested and charged Adrain Rambarose of Baughers Bay for Driving without Driver’s License, Driving Unlicensed Vehicle, Riding without a Helmet and Driving Uninsured Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 10-06-2021.

Burglary


On 21-04-2021 at 15:25hrs, Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old male of Paraquita Bay for Burglary. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety to appear at Magistrate's Court on 05-05-2021 at 09:00hrs.

Murder


*  On 28-04-2021 at 12:04hrs, Police arrested and charged Shameek Grant, 28 of Zion Hill with the offences of Murder, Robbery and Possession of Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.
*  28-04-2021 at 12:13hrs, Police arrested and charged Akeem Hopkinson, 22, of Zion Hill with the offences of Murder, Robbery and Possession of Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.

Aiding offender


*  On 02-05-2021 at 12:26hrs, Police arrested and charged Teffiny Smith, 18, of Zion Hill for the offence of Aiding Offender. She was granted bail to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 06-05-2021.
*  On 28-04-2021 at 12:26hrs, Police arrested and charged Tyann Smith, 20, of Zion Hill for the offence of Aiding Offender. She was granted bail to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 06-05-2021.

Robbery


On 21-04-2021 at 18:25hrs, Police arrested and charged Shermar Richardson, 24, of Gene Hill for Robbery. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.

Assault causing actual bodily harm


On 29-04-2021 at 15:00hrs, Police arrested and charged Andre Clarke, 44, of Nottingham Estate for Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm. She was granted bail in the amount of $15,000 with a signed surety to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 09-06-2021.

Theft


On 29-04-2021 at 19:30hrs, Police arrested and charged Keisha Malone, 26, of Paraquita Bay for Theft. She was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 with one signed surety to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 10-06-2021 at 0900hrs.

Drunkenness when in charge of a vehicle


On 29-04-2021 at 23:06hrs, Police arrested and charged Lisa Walmisley, 44, a U.K. National, residing at Manatee Point for Drunkenness when in charge of a vehicle. She was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 01-07-2021 at 0900hrs.

Keeping an unlicensed firearm


*  1. On30-04-2021 at 08:00hrs, Police arrested and charged Nicole Maxime, 38, of Little Apple Bay for Keeping an Unlicenced Firearm. She was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 03-05-2021.
*  2. On 30-04-2021 at 08:00hrs, Police arrested and charged Feddis Matthias, 41, a native of St. Vincent, residing in Little Apple Bay for Keeping an Unlicenced Firearm. She was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear at Magistrate's Court on 03-05-2021.
*  3. On30-04-2021 at 08:00hrs, Police arrested and charged Delano Johnney, 25, a native of St. Vincent residing in Cane Garden Bay for Keeping an Unlicenced Firearm.
