Beauty favourites from October 2020

Beauty favourites from October 2020

October arrived bring with it a whole bunch of excited new releases and refreshed heroes in the realm of beauty.
-Glasshouse Magic Spell-

One of the best ways to get into the spirit of spooky season is with this truly delightful candle from Glasshouse. It's a glorious pumpkin spice scent and will make your home smell like the most delicious baked goods.

-Biossance Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum-

If you're normally a little sensitive to exfoliating acids, this serum is for you. Lactic acid is the gentler cousin of glycolic acid and the added squalene - which Biossance is famous for - means your skin is nourished overnight. You'll wake up with a baby-soft, moisturised complexion each morning.

-IT Cosmetics Confidence in your Beauty Sleep-

We've already documented our love affair with this luxurious night cream. It's one that can change the texture and quality of your skin in just one night. And as an added bonus, the formula has been specifically designed to stay on your face, not on your pillow.

-Schwartzkopf Fibre Clinix Tame booster with ceramides-

The Schwarzkopf Professional Fibre Clinix Tame range as a whole is a fantastic one for anyone looking to manage frizz - essentially anyone during an Australian summer near the coast. But the stand out product is the Ceramide Booster. It's a creamy little serum that nourishes and helps to banish frizz, even on the worst of bad hair days.

-Aveda Botanical Repair Shampoo and Conditioner-

Another set of fabulous products for your hair. The Aveda Botanical Repair range is a plant-powered system for all hair types. It's been designed to help repair and build the bonds back, within your hair. And, it's vegan!

-Nudestix Tinted Cover foundation-

Meet the best foundation I've tried all year. If you want sheer coverage that evens, shields but doesn't hide your skin, this is the product for you. Best of all, it's not the least bit patchy and applies evenly regardless of application tool preference - fingers, brush or blender. Your skin, but better.

-Minenssey Clay Mask Exploration Set-

Could multi-masking be the secret to glowing skin? I think so. When you think about it, it doesn't really make sense to apply one mask to your whole face - especially if you have combination skin or a variety of skin concerns. Minenssey's Clay Mask Exploration Set is designed so you can target your masks exactly to what areas of your face need attention. Go for cleansing in the T-zone but go for hydrating across your cheeks? You decide. We think it's an intelligent approach to skincare.

-The Beauty Chef Antioxidant Inner Beauty Boost-

We all know how important antioxidants are in skincare. But they're probably even more important to include in your diet. I know I personally struggle to make sure my eating habits are healthy. Seven serves of fruit and vegetables can be hard to include everyday. I'm certainly not perfect, so I really appreciate having a little help from The Beauty Chef. The Antioxidant Inner Beauty Boost is my health cheat. I love it.

-Jurlique Smooth Body Exfoliating Gel-

It's hard to find a good body scrub in my opinion. Most of them are too harsh for my skin and I come out of the shower with scaly, dehydrated lizard skin. This Jurlique creation is a rare exception. It smells delightful and keep your skin feeling smoother, nourished and baby soft.

-Chanel Baume Essentiel-

The RUSSH team are not really big on heavy makeup. We love a natural glow and right now you'll find that most of us are using these blush and bronzer sticks from Chanel. They offer the most beautiful flush of colour - an instant natural glow in a stick.

-The Body Shop Cool Cucumber Body Butter-

It's hard to get too excited about body moisturisers as most of them do the same thing. But this one has a special place in my heart. I like to (or at least try to) moisturise everyday, but it's not easy in summer. Moisturisers can make me feel hot and sweaty when it's humid. So, discovering this cooling cucumber variety has been a boon. It smells fresh leaves your skin with a clean, cool sensation. Perfect for those summer scorchers.

-Compagnie de Provence Bouquet de Pivoines Liquid Soap-

Can't get to France? Then bring France to you. It's the 30th anniversary of Compagnie de Provence and to celebrate the brand has released a collection perfect for spring. With handwashing now more important and my frequent than ever, I personally am absolutely here for anything that can make it a more luxurious experience. And these wonderful hand soap and hand creams are about as luxurious as it gets. I love the Bouquet De Pivoines iteration.
