A 12-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Birmingham, leading to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.

The young victim was discovered with severe injuries near Scribers Lane in the Hall Green area of southeast Birmingham around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Despite being swiftly transported to a hospital, the boy tragically succumbed to his injuries.

West Midlands Police have confirmed the victim's family has been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
