Bob Hodge killed at home, motor vehicle allegedly stolen

New information into Tuesday night’s murder of Earl ‘Bob’ Hodge indicates that the incident was robbery-homicide.

BVI News understands that Hodge’s body was found in the driveway of his Hannah’s Estate residence and his motor vehicle was reportedly stolen at the time of the murder.

It’s also understood that Hodge’s wife and a number of family members were present at the scene when police arrived.

However, it’s unclear whether they were at the house at the exact time Hodge was murdered.

BVI News has not yet ascertained where on Hodge’s body he was shot but residents in the area reported hearing multiple firearm explosions on the ill-fated night of February 9.

What police say

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), the incident happened around 8 pm and no one else was injured.

“Police are asking persons who have information that can assist homicide detectives in their investigation to contact at RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339,” the RVIPF said in a press statement Wednesday morning.

Hodge, in the meantime, has been a person of interest for the United States Justice Department who accused him of participating in a regional drug trafficking organisation.

The US has made at least three unsuccessful attempts to have Hodge extradited for his alleged crimes.
