Body of male recovered from waters near Village Cay

A body of a male has reportedly been recovered in waters near Village Cay, today, April 29, 2021.
The identity of the person is not yet known to our newsroom.

Police have also confirmed the reports.

"Police can confirm that the body of a male was recovered from the waters near Village Cay. No other information is available at this time," Police Information Officer Diane L. Drayton stated.

More details to follow.

It was on February 19, 2021, that a body, with hands and feet bound, was recovered from waters close to the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre in Sea Cows Bay.

The body was subsequently identified as that of Lebanese native Walid Kashour, 40.
