Boris Johnson's Attempt to Persuade Prince Harry to Stay in UK

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was asked to persuade Prince Harry to stay in the UK, revealed in his book 'Unleashed'. Johnson's meeting with Harry occurred in January 2020, resulting in an unsuccessful 'manly pep talk'. Harry soon after moved to North America with Meghan Markle and their son Archie.
Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was approached by Buckingham Palace and Downing Street to convince Prince Harry to remain in the UK and continue his royal duties.

Revealed in Johnson's book 'Unleashed,' set for release on October 10, the incident occurred in January 2020, just before Harry and Meghan Markle moved to North America.

Johnson described giving a 'manly pep talk' to Prince Harry on the sidelines of a UK-Africa investment summit in London's Docklands, unsuccessfully urging him to stay.

Harry announced his and Meghan's decision to step away from royal life shortly before the meeting.

The next day, he flew to Canada to reunite with Meghan and their son, Archie, eventually settling in Montecito, California.

Johnson's book also covers significant political events, including Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic, until his resignation in September 2022.
