Stay In Doors! Territory On Lock Down From Friday Night

Premier Hon. Andrew Fahie moments ago announced that Cabinet has decided to place the entire Territory on curfew beginning tonight at 8.00 pm to 6.00 am up until Friday, March 27.
Then from 8.00 pm on Friday the Territory will be placed on a total lock down until April 2 for the first instance, where every person must stay indoors all day except for essential workers.

This announcement came hours after the Premier disclosed that the BVI confirmed its first two cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Premier Fahie explained that the curfew runs from tonight 8.00 pm until 6.00 am tomorrow Match 26, then from 8.00 pm tomorrow night until 6.00 am Friday March 27, and then from 8.00 pm on Friday all persons except for essential workers must stay at home.

Both the Premier and Governor Gus Jaspert warned that this is being done under the Curfew Act of 2019, and that the police will be out to enforce the curfew.

Premier Fahie said that persons can use tomorrow and Friday to do their shopping.
