Burglars hit Dixies on Virgin Gorda; $$ stolen

Burglars are said to be on the rampage in Virgin Gorda, with one popular restaurant falling victim between Sunday, November 28, 2021, and Monday night, November 29, 2021, according to reports reaching our newsroom.
According to sources close to the situation, over $100, which was left in two cash registers, was taken from Dixies Restaurant and Bar on Lee Road.

The discovery was reportedly made by the restaurant's chef after making an early sale on Monday.

It was when the chef approached the register to make change he observed all the float was missing and upon checking another cash register the same was noted. It was then observed that a number of things were not in place as usual.

Further checks revealed one of the doors to the restaurant was damaged.

It is our information that at least two other establishments were robbed over the past few days on the Sister Island.
