Businessman shot during robbery at Free Bottom

A robbery and shooting that allegedly occurred at Free Bottom, on the main island of Tortola, during the wee hours of Sunday, February 16, 2020.
According to reports, the victim is the owner of a sports bar at Baughers Bay.

Our news room was told by sources close to the investigation that the incident occurred around 3:00am when the businessman arrived at his place of residence.

The perpetrator was said to be a masked man wearing a grey hoodie. The armed robber allegedly relieved the businessman of cash and jewelry and shot him in the right leg despite the businessman reportedly offering no resistance.

The shot man was subsequently taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Police are said to be investigating.
