BVI Celebrates Historic Direct Flight Connection with American Airlines

(PLTM) - American Airlines has made history by inaugurating a direct flight from Miami to the Terrance B.

Lettsome International Airport in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The flight, AAL3989, arrived at 1:15 pm and was greeted by a warm welcome from residents and officials, including Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon.

Dr. Natalio Wheatley and Minister of Communications and Works, Hon.

Kye Rymer.

The BVI had been trying to connect passengers between the U.S. mainland and the BVI for several years, and this flight marks a significant milestone for the Territory.

The 79 passengers onboard the flight were thrilled to be a part of this momentous occasion.

The aircraft received a water salute from the BVI Fire and Rescue team, which added to the excitement of the moment.

An official ceremony is currently underway, and updates will be provided as the story develops.
