The show, which was inspired and executed by prominent promotor and businessman Mr Steve E. Parillon of ‘Fish Mobile’, was headlined by Jamaican artist TeeJay aka the ‘Up Top Boss’, who was appearing for the first time in the territory.
Teejay, who has dominated the party scene with songs like Up Top Boss, My Type, Pray and Grimy, told the VI audience that he was scheduled to be in the territory back in 2019 but the COVID-19 pandemic froze all plans. He was; however, happy to lead the return of stage shows in the territory.
The show was scheduled to start at 7:00 pm but never did until a few minutes before 11:00 pm.
Nevertheless, the crowd gradually swelled and was kept entertained with music by live deejays, among them being DJ Grim, Selecta Taz, DJ Dre and Homegrown Sound System.
The opening act was Xtreme Band, with lead singer Pascal being backed up by Dirk L. Walters on the keyboard and Ramon G on drums.
They were followed by Mr Sherwin Paul aka ‘Mr Walkie’ out of Grenada and then the main act by TeeJay.
VIBE, led by Raul R. Sprauve aka ‘Juggo’, closed out the night.
On the sidelines, food vendors counted their dollars with gratitude to the many patrons who turned out in large numbers throughout the day for mainly the fish meals but were also able to purchase other types of dishes.
