Cabinet approves Khalid A. Frett as Chairman of VI Festival & Fairs Committee

Cabinet at its meeting on March 3, 2021, decided that Acting Chairman of the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) Mr Khalid A. Frett be appointed Chairman until March 26, 2022.

Mr Frett has been acting as Chairman ever since the sudden resignation of Mr Carnel D. Clyne back in June 2020.

Meanwhile, Mr Frett will have Mrs Violet de Castro as his deputy.

The tenure for both persons will take effect from January 1, 2021.

Cabinet has decided that Ms April T. Glasgow be appointed Public Relations Officer of the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) from March 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.

Cabinet also decided that Ms April T. Glasgow be appointed Public Relations Officer from March 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.

Stuart Donovan, Ottley Hodge and Harella Georges (representative of Anegada), according to Cabinet, will be reappointed as Members of the Committee with effect from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.

Additionally, Ms Delia Jon Baptiste, Mrs Marieta C. Headley, Mrs Luce Hodge-Smith and Mr Dion Kendall will be appointed as Members with effect from March 1, 2021 for a period of three (3) years.

Cabinet also decided that the appointment of Mr Nicholas Bailey as Treasurer be revoked with effect from February 28, 2021 and that Ms Ishelle Hodge appointed as Treasurer with effect from March 1, 2021 for a period of three (3) years.

The Cabinet meeting, held at the Financial Services Commission’s Conference Room, was chaired by His Excellency, the Governor Mr John J. Rankin, CMG.
