Cane Garden Bay Beach Reopened To Public

Cane Garden Bay Beach Reopened To Public

Minister for Natural Resources, Honourable Vincent Wheatley has announced that the Cane Garden Bay beach is safe for swimming and is ready for use.
The beach was reopened following a brief closure for routine water quality sampling to be conducted by officials from the Environmental Unit and the Environmental Health Division. Results of days of water quality testing at Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay beaches have shown that the water quality has improved to levels that can facilitate recreational use.

Honourable Wheatley commended the officials at the Environmental Unit and the Environmental Health Division for their hard work in ensuring that the beach is safe for recreational use.

Water quality testing will continue to be carried out at beaches around the Territory to ensure that the health and safety of visitors and residents are safeguarded.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is working diligently to clean our beaches and coastlines and to ensure healthy residents and visitors to the Territory.
