Car crashes on Gene Hill after allegedly fleeing police; 1 injured

One person was rushed to hospital and a teen driver taken into custody after a car that led police on a chase crashed into another vehicle at Gene Hill, on Tortola, last night, September 26, 2021.
The accident took place sometime after 10:00 pm.

According to reports, the occupants of the vehicle were about four young persons.

Police allegedly attempted to stop the vehicle in Sea Cows Bay but the car sped off and police gave chase.

The lone female in the vehicle was knocked unconscious when the crash occurred. The other persons in the car reportedly made a dash for it on foot but police were able to catch the teen driver, who was found to be unlicensed.

The lone person in the other vehicle that was hit on Gene Hill was not injured.
