Child injured! Many more could’ve died in double murder incident

Last Friday’s daring early evening shooting that claimed the lives of 28-year-old Kadeem Frett of Long Look and 38-year-old Kawa Cornwall of Long Bush also injured a minor.
The minor and another male who was injured during the shooting are now in stable condition but Police Commissioner Mark Collins indicated that several more people could have been killed during the East End incident.

Commissioner Collins described the shootings as brazen and reckless.

“So many more persons could have lost their lives during the early evening hours of this vicious assault. It shows a grave disregard for human life not often seen in this Territory which impacts the entire community. We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible. Any information is considered valuable at this point,” the top cop stated.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said it is “appealing for information as to what led to this incident therefore persons are being asked for assistance with a motive”.

“Witnesses are also being asked to come forward with information. Persons with information can contact the Major Crime Team at 368-5682 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
