Christian Council calls for intercessory prayers for VI

With the Virgin Islands going to the polls on Monday, April 24, 2023, to elect its government for the next four years, the BVI Christian Council (BVICC) has called for intercessory prayers for the process and territory.

In a press statement today, April 21, 2023, the BVICC called on religious Ministers, Clergy and people for continuous intercessory prayers for the Virgin Islands and that God will grant wisdom to its leaders.

“We pray that our communities will be restored, families re-united and repair of these Virgin Islands. We pray that Jehovah God will rise up men and women who truly love and serve God as their Lord and Master to rule with love, respect and concern for the people of these Virgin Islands.”

The Virgin Islands people go to the polls on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Prayer for wisdom to make right choice on polling day

The BVICC is also praying that God will grant the people of the Virgin Islands wisdom to make the right choices to lead, as they proceed to the polls on Monday.

“I ask the believers and Clergy and Pastors everywhere to make God’s presence known in the middle of this darkness, confusion and despair. May the light of His glory shine forth. God of Unity give us love, hope, faith, truth, purity, peace, and kindness so You might be glorified through us. God of grace and God of Glory, on Your people pour Your power, for the facing of these dark days, that we fail not man nor YOU. Unite us in Jesus' name.

“Change lives, bring unity and stir Your people to be the image bearers of Jesus in this troubling Territory! We long for Your presence to permeate our culture and transform our nation. In Jesus Name,” the BVICC petitioned.
