Christian Council hosting midday prayer services to 'prepare hearts for repentance'

Convinced that repentance is key for the territory to move forward in these challenging times, the BVI Christian Council (BVICC) will be hosting weekly midday prayer services beginning this Wednesday, June 15, 2022, and culminating with a ‘Unity Service’ for the Territory on July 17, 2022.

The Unity Service for the People of the Virgin Islands will be held from 6:30 pm at the New Testament Church of God in Baughers Bay.

The service would be held under the theme “Restoring the Territory Back to God’s Originality” based on Isaiah 61:1-11.

According to the BVI Christian Council, the intention of the Midday Prayer Services is to prepare the hearts of the People of the Virgin Islands to be drawn back to the Lord through repentance'.

According to a press release from the BVICC today, June 13, 2022, leading up to the Unity Service, the BVICC would be hosting weekly Midday Prayer Services on Wednesdays between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm at various churches around the territory.

“The intention of these Midday Prayer Services is to prepare the hearts of the People of the Virgin Islands to be drawn back to the Lord through repentance,” the press release stated.

The BVICC said it would like to extend a special invitation to the People of the Virgin Islands to its upcoming services.

It also said arrangements are being made for persons in the sister islands and the Hispanics to participate in these services.
