Clive McCoy appointed Director of Tourism

After some two months without a designated Director of the BVI Tourist Board (BVITB), its Director of Product and Film Commissioner, Mr Clive McCoy, has been appointed to the post, effective August 13, 2020.

Since the controversial resignation of Mrs Sharon P. Flax-Brutus on May 15, 2020, Deputy Director Mr Rhodni A. Skelton has been performing the duties of director.

It is said Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) recently approved Mr McCoy for the post and has since given his blessings at the level of Cabinet.

She explained, “Based on his qualifications and leadership and business development experience in the tourism industry, Mr McCoy brings an unique perspective to this role of providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of strategies and programmes that promote the BVI. The Board looks forward to him providing his expertise and experience to help the BVI’s tourism industry realise its fullest potential.”

'Humbled'
