Cloudy conditions & occasional showers in VI today, Sat July 2, 2022 – DDM

The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM), is forecasting that moisture and instability in association with the passage of a tropical wave, will continue to maintain cloudy conditions with occasional showers across the VI today, July 2, 2022.

The DDM has also issued warnings for mariners and sea bathers with a notice that seas will remain hazardous across the region.

Weather today: Partly cloudy to cloudy with occasional showers. Few scattered thunderstorms could also develop.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy with a 70 percent or high chance of showers.

Winds: East to east-southeast 12 to 24 mph or 19 to 39 km/h and gusting to 34 mph or 56 km/h.

Seas: 1.8 to 2.8 metres or 6 to 9 feet. A small advisory is in effect.
