Cloudy spells with stable weather forecasted for Saturday

Weather forecast information coming out of the Virgin Islands (VI) Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is that the weather for Saturday, June 26, 2021, some instability and trailing moisture could generate cloudy spells and showers mainly during the morning period.

The DDM says, however, that stable conditions are expected to restrict any significant development thereafter.

For tonight, the weather is expected to be Partly cloudy with a 30 percent or a low chance of showers and East-southeast at 17 to 31 km/h or 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 km/h or 31 mph.

Seas will not exceed 1.5 metres or 5 feet and sunset is forecasted to occur at 6:58 pm.

The DDM says the wave is over the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

It is expected to move westward at 15 to 20 mph through the weekend over marginally warm waters that are located in the central tropical Atlantic, and therefore any development of this system should be slow to occur.
