Coinbase Enables Apple Pay For Crypto Buys and $100K Instant Cash-outs – Google Pay Coming Soon

Coinbase Enables Apple Pay For Crypto Buys and $100K Instant Cash-outs – Google Pay Coming Soon

One of the largest crypto exchanges, the Nasdaq-listed Coinbase enabled buying crypto using Apple Pay, and instant cash-outs of up to $100,000 per transaction. The exchange is working on soon enabling crypto buys with Google Pay.

Crypto exchange Coinbase announced Thursday that users can now buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its platform with Apple Pay. Prakash Hariramani, senior director of Coinbase’s Payments & Financial Hub, explained:

“We’re introducing new and seamless ways to enable crypto buys with linked debit cards to Apple Pay and Google Pay, and instant cashouts up to $100,000 per transaction available 24/7.”

Coinbase announcement read:

“If you already have a Visa or Mastercard debit card linked in your Apple Wallet, Apple Pay will automatically appear as a payment method when you’re buying crypto with Coinbase on an Apple Pay-supported iOS device or Safari web browser.”

According to the announcement U.S. customers can also buy cryptocurrencies with a connected bank account via ACH or wire transfer, a debit card, or funds in their Coinbase USD wallet.

In June, the Coinbase announced that selected users could use Coinbase Card with Apple Pay and Google Pay. The latest announcement indicates that users no longer need to have a Coinbase Card to use Apple Pay.

Noting that the company is expanding its global footprint, Coinbase reiterated that it “now accepts crypto buys via linked Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards in 20+ countries, with more on the way.”

Coinbase revealed that more is coming:

“Later this fall you’ll be able to buy crypto with Google Pay, a safe, simple, and secure way to pay that’s used by more than 150 million people in 40 countries every month.”
