Panama creates 'digital nomad' visa to attract tourists and stimulate economic reactivation
The Government approved an Executive Decree which creates "a new and innovative" program called Short Stay Visa as Remote Worker, which aims to stimulate economic reactivation by attracting "extended stay" tourists and nomads that can “telecommute from Panama”.

Butler: No point in bringing foreign talent that will only stay at home and not SHARE their skills with nationals. They can stay in their own countries amd continue paying tax on their worldwide income.

What’s even worse is they’re going to want to drive and can only do that for 90 days. People getting Pensionado and Friendly Nations Visas can’t even get appointments to get a Panama driver’s license right now.

I'm digital nomad and I don't know many digital nomads that make $3000 a month. It's unrealistic.

LOL Panama really doesn't get it. They think digital nomads will flock to the country due to THIS? What Panama needs is foreign talent inside the country competing with locals and elevating quality.
