The U.S. President issued an executive order aimed at cutting ties between the U.S. and the Chinese owner of WeChat, the world's largest and most advanced communication, banking, shopping and social media app and also the hugely popular TikTok. Trump gave TikTok just 45 days to finalize a sale to Microsoft or to be banned, in order that Microsoft could negotiate a better deal. WeChat is too big for any American company to buy, and too advanced and too popular for any American brand to compete.
