Coronavirus: European nations tighten clampdown

Several European nations have introduced more stringent restrictions on movement as they combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Austria has banned gatherings of more than five people, and expanded the list of countries it restricts entry to.

Romania is set to declare a state of emergency, and the Czech PM said he was likely to declare a quarantine for the whole country.

The moves follow draconian measures taken by France and Spain on Saturday.

But despite the shutting of cafes, restaurants and most shops and people being advised not to go out, France is holding local elections.
