Coverup over sinking of HM Customs vessel?
Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) was that a small boat belonging to HM Customs has reportedly sunk on October 5, 2022, in the VI.
When contacted, top personnel attached to the Customs Department referred VINO to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for information, to which ToP Cop Mark Collins said it was a matter for the Customs Department.
It remains unclear why officials from HM Customs would refer to the police, inquiries regarding the sinking of their vessel.
