COVID cases in VI spike to 95

The [British] Virgin Islands continues to experience a spike in COVID-19 cases, with the latest results revealing there are some 95 active cases.

There are four hospitalisations as a result of COVID-19.

According to the Territory’s Epidemiological Summary, 62 of the active cases are Local Cases, 20 were detected on Entry Screening Day 5, 4 on Entry Screening Day 0, 4 via Travel Screening and 5 being Contacts of Case.

The latest figures are the result of testing done on April 20 and reported on April 21, 2022.

Tortola has bulk of active cases


86 of the cases are on Tortola, 8 on Virgin Gorda and 1 on Jost van Dyke.

There were 42 active cases as of the previous update of April 14, 2022, and 19 as of April 7, 2022, update.
