Covid caution: District 7 Office closed to walk-ins

The upsurge in active COVID-19 cases in the Virgin Islands continues to affect regular operations in the territory, including forcing schools to operate online as well as some Government offices to operate remotely.
And in an effort to curb the spread of the virus, the District 7 Office, where constituents can meet with their Representative Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley, has been closed to walk-ins.

“The public is advised that the District 7 Office is open for appointments only and closed to walk-ins, effective January 5, 2022,” the District 7 Committee stated on January 4, 2022.

According to the bulletin, the appointment-only structure is due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.

To book an appointment, or for more information, persons are advised to telephone 344-7200.

In just his first term and first year in office as an elected Member, Seventh District Representative and Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) created history by becoming the first legislator for the district to open a District Office.

The District 7 Office, which is located in the building that once housed Elite Superette in Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola, was opened on Saturday, February 21, 2020.

The opening hours are from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Mondays to Fridays.
