Customs K9 died after left in vehicle

It is unclear whether anyone was held culpable; however, word only now getting to our news centre is that a K9 utilised by HM Customs reportedly died after it was left in a vehicle for some time.
Virgin Islands News Online was told the incident happened on September 10, 2022.

According to reports, the dog named Tina was temporarily placed in a vehicle with the engine off after its kennel was being cleaned.

The officer entrusted with Tina reportedly forgot she was put in the vehicle. Tina was later discovered lifeless.

It is unclear how long the animal was left in the vehicle.

Tina was reportedly buried without an autopsy to determine cause of death.
