D1 candidates to debate April 18, 2023

The electorate in the First District are being given an opportunity to hear all three of the candidates seeking to be elected share their plans as well as respond to questions from the public.
According to the organising group, 1st District CommUNITY, today, April 12, 2023, the debate will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the SDA Youth Centre in Carrot Bay on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

The candidates in the political debate will be Sylvia C. Romney-Moses of Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM), Independent Candidate Chad C. George and Dr Karl Dawson of Virgin Islands Party (VIP).

Our newsroom was informed that questions will include prepared ones already shared with the candidates as well as questions fielded from the public during the debate.

It was on March 11, 2023, that the leaders of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP), National Democratic Party (NDP), Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) and Progressives United (PU) were involved in a debate at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium in Paraquita Bay.
