D3 resident receives key to brand new Gov’t built home

Sea Cows Bay resident Naomi J. Springette-Maduro is now the latest recipient to benefit from a Government-sponsored home rebuilding project, following Hurricane destruction of the original home she shared with her husband and family in 2017.

During the handing over ceremony yesterday, December 18, 2022, the key to a new residence was given to Mrs Springette-Maduro and her husband Clifford, in the presence of District Representative, Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3)

“In the 3rd district, it was Wednesday funeral, Thursday funeral. Today Friday thank God for this ceremony, because Saturday it’s funeral again. We thank god for small mercies,” Hon Fraser said in social media video shared during the ceremony.

Hon Fraser added that the housing programme was made possible via the Ministry of Health and Social Development, through subject Minister, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) along with his support staff.

Hon Fraser also thanked Mr Roy A. Garraway of Quality Construction and all others who contributed to the project.

“The house is quite modest, everything is in it… just got the keep up the good works and keep delivering these homes for people,” Hon Fraser added.

Also present for the handing over ceremony was Jr Minister for Tourism and At-Large representative, Hon Sharie B. deCastro (AL).
