Director of BVI's CSO Announces Technology-Driven Approach for Upcoming Census
The Director of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Raymond Phillips, has stated that technology will be used in the upcoming census to ease concerns about enumerators' ability to account for all residents.
This will include the use of digital maps, which have been updated using drone technology by the Town and Country Planning Department.
Phillips also plans to have his enumerators start in the middle of areas and do the rest on foot, if necessary, and has encouraged his staff to use their discretion when it comes to reaching hard-to-reach areas.
