Disaster averted after Ritweay truck backs into rail @ Sophie Bay Hill

Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that a major disaster has been averted after a truck belonging to the RiteWay Group reportedly developed mechanical failure and crashed into the guard rail on the road at Sophie Bay Hill.

Sources indicated that around mid-day, today Saturday, May 13, 2023, the truck was going uphill at the time, when it stopped and rolled down, thus, crashing into the guard rail.

As a result of the incident, traffic was slowed on both directions of the road.
