Dr Pickering should ‘fall back’ in re-election quest — Cindy Rosan

Dr Pickering should ‘fall back’ in re-election quest — Cindy Rosan

Social commentator Cindy Rosan has suggested that former legislator Dr Kedrick Pickering should end his campaign for a return to elected office at the upcoming general elections.
Rosan has been a staunch critic of the former legislator’s efforts ever since his September announcement about the need for a ‘reset’ to his political campaign.

She previously accused Dr. Pickering of selling out the birthright of residents in the Seventh District after gaining their trust and insisted that he must “atone for the damage done to this territory”.

And while making it clear that it was her unapologetic and personal opinion on Dr Pickering’s renewed political ambitions, Rosan also insisted that she would oppose anyone who aligned politically with the former legislator.

“The future of the BVI is grim because of leaders such as Dr Pickering. You’ve failed this territory, Dr Pickering. On a very serious level. Fall back. I encourage you to,” Rosan asserted.

The outspoken commentator suggested that the former Deputy Premier should perhaps seek an advisory post instead; once the next government forms. But she argued that he should never again be seated in the House of Assembly as a legislator.

Rosan also denied disliking Dr Pickering and argued that the territory should do some introspection in order for it to progress. “For this Territory to move forward, we must face our demons (failures), and this past rep of some 20-plus years, is a part of that look in the mirror,” she stated.

She also urged the former legislator to allow residents to move on from his era, adding that the people of the BVI are a very forgiving people.
