Dressed in traditional Saudi clothing, UK minister visits Shaybah oil field

British Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Kwasi Kwarteng visited on Monday the super-giant Shaybah oil field located in the southeast of Saudi Arabia.
The oil production in the field on a daily basis is equivalent to what is produced by a number of oil-producing countries together, and its quality is high and less polluting while compared to other oil fields.

Kwarteng also visited King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center in Riyadh.

Also on Monday, the British minister toured the Jubail Industrial City where he was welcomed by Abdullah Al-Saadan, president of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and other officials.

Kwarteng and Al-Saadan held wide-ranging talks that focused mainly on the commission’s major activities and the diversity of industries and products in the industrial city.
