Driver injured after Jeep flips on Sir Francis Drakes Highway

The driver of a Jeep was rushed to the hospital and the vehicle extensively damaged after he lost control on the Sir Francis Drakes Highway late last evening, December 18, 2020, flipping the vehicle in the process.
Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that the lone driver was heading towards Road Town from the Capoon’s Bay area along the Sir Francis Drakes Highway when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle around 11:00 pm in the vicinity of Fort Recovery.

On the scene, the vehicle was seen on its right side facing the sea and in the middle of the road.

Sources say the man was then trapped in the vehicle and had to be removed by fire officers and paramedics before being rushed to the hospital.
